Logan Temple

I am so excited to say that Jordan and I will be sealed in the Logan Temple in February. His parents and siblings were sealed here as well. I was baptised on February 17th of this year so I have to wait a year from my baptism date to go to the temple. I can't wait until that day we can be sealed to eachother for eternity! What an amazing thing.

"Sit ubu sit"

Josie is about 4 1/2 months old and already obeying commands. She knows sit, down, and roll over. Check it out..

WHITE CHILI

Ingredients
2 tablespoons olive oil
2 onions chopped
4 cloves garlic minced
4 cooked chicken breast halfed chopped or shredded
3(14.5 0z.) cans chicken broth
2 (4oz) cans chopped green chili peppers
2 tsp ground cumin
2 tsp dried oregano
1 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
5 (14 oz) cans great northern beans, undrained
1 cup shredded monterey jack cheese
sour cream to top
Directions
Heat the oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add the onions and garlic and saute for 10 minutes, or until onions are tender. Add the chicken, chicken broth, green chile peppers, cumin, oregano and cayenne pepper and bring to a boil.
Reduce heat to low and add the beans.(blend two cans of the beans to make it a thicker consistancy) Simmer for 20 to 30 minutes, or until heated thoroughly. Pour into individual bowls and top with the cheese and sour cream.

*It turns out somewhere inbetween a chili and a soup so if you want it thicker I suggest omitting one of the cans of broth but either way its yummy!

Will work for food

(<<--Josie pestering Norman)

last week Jordan and I decided to go to the Salt Lake Humane Society to look at their dogs. We found a lab/english springer spaniel mix, about a year old that we really liked but decided to think about it for a few days. We went home and talked about it and decided we would go back on saturday and adopt him. He had been there for over a month so we thought we could wait, well I'm sure you see where this is going...He was still there saturday afternoon before we left but when we got there someone had adopted him, I was so bummed! We left feeling sad but I decided to try Petsmart because they always have adoptions on saturdays. When we got there they had all packed up but this one lady was sitting there with a puppy, I thought she was just waiting for someone but when we walked by she said "are you looking to adopt a dog?" I said,"well as a matter of fact we are." So here we are with a 4 month old lab/border collie mix! Her story is she was found downtown Salt Lake tied to a tree with a sign around her that said,"I am homeless please feed me." SAD!!! She is super cute and smart, still a puppy though and isn't completely potty trained yet but we are working on it.

Evan...

My little nephew Evan Caleb McConnachie was born on September 14th 8lbs 9oz. My sister-in-law had him by C-section so sometimes the baby will inhale or swallow mucous, well he did so he was sent to the NICU. They also discovered that his lungs weren't quite mature enough so they put him on a ventilator. So on top of being on a vent he acquired pneumonia which set him back a bit. Finally he gets off the vent but he isn't eating like he should because he is just not feeling good, oh and he has jaundice (what else can go wrong!). After about two weeks in the NICU he is finally able to go home to be with his family. He looked so out of place being there with all the babies that weighed half of what he did. He is home now doing great, eating alot and getting lots of attention from his brother and sister.
